Former RHOA star Apollo Nida was detained for resisting arrest earlier this year, demanding an end to probation

Recent news broke that Apollo Nida was arrested this past spring, although the TV star insists his probation officer was at fault.

Fan The Real Housewives of Atlanta can recall that Phaedra Park‘ex-husband, Apollo Nida, has faced notable legal controversies that have taken place on the popular show. Back in 2014, Apollo Nida was convicted of money laundering and sentenced to five years in prison. After his 2019 release, he was on probation and continued engagement.

After “reintegration”[ing] into society” and lived in Philadelphia for a year, Apollo Nida decided to move south to be closer to his older children, whom he shares with Phaedra . Park. However, according to Online Radar, Apollo Nida said his probation officer “ignored” the issue until months later, and even more problems soon afterward.

Specifically, the 43-year-old TV star was detained on May 30 while entering his hotel, and he was specifically arrested on the charge of resisting arrest. Despite this legal drama, the charges were finally dropped in August – though Apollo was eventually placed under a strict curfew and had his travel privileges revoked.

In response to the problem, Apollo Nida is accusing his probation officer of lying in court about the details behind his arrest. He also requested an early termination of the probationary period. However, a federal judge has yet to rule on the matter.

Apollo Nida has not commented publicly on the situation.
