Starting with the launch of the original Xbox remote control Back in 2001, the Xbox brand had grown to become one of the most popular brands in the video game market. The company recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in the gaming industry. While celebrating with some exciting announcements, one of the highlights was a board called “Xbox Pioneers: Creativity and Innovation – Past, Present, and Future”.

This unique console includes some of the key figures in Xbox’s development. People present to discuss Xbox’s history including head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross, former Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Corporation Peter Moore, former vice president of Microsoft Game Studios Ed Fries, and former Xbox Director Robbie Bach. While these influential executives contributed to the roundtable discussion, perhaps the biggest surprise was the special discussion hosted by former Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Amie.

Despite being the host of the presentation and therefore asking questions, Reggie still had time to make some comments about Xbox also. According to Reggie, the gaming industry has gotten better thanks to Xbox. He explained that the gaming “ecosystem” is in good shape as there are many companies producing new content for players to enjoy. He believes Xbox plays an important role in delivering this high-quality content to consumers.

In addition to talking about the importance of Xbox to the gaming industry, Reggie touched on his personal experience with the company. During the workshop, he revealed that his son helped him realize the importance of the company. “My son, an avid gamer, was the one who said we needed to check this Xbox thing… and the driver did Halo, and that experience is exactly what brought the original Xbox into my house with that big old remote,” he said.

This compliment from Reggie is remarkable considering his experience in the industry. Many fans remember him for his gentle personality, along with Famous appearances in many Nintendo Directs and the E3 conference. Over the past few decades, he has made an indelible mark on the legacy of Nintendo and the game in general.

Aside from this exclusive console about Xbox’s history, the company has also celebrated its 20th anniversary in some interesting ways. Recently, the company revealed surprise launch of multiplayer beta for Halo Infinite. This happened a few weeks before the game was scheduled to be released. Additionally, a host of new backwards compatible games have been announced for the next-gen Xbox console, with some games receiving Xbox FPS Boost.

With all the news surrounding Xbox’s 20th anniversary, it’s always been interesting to see some of these video game icons gathered to talk about gaming history. It will be interesting to see the place former president of Nintendo of America next display.
