Former Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili ends hunger strike in prison for 50 days

“The overall result is that Saakashvili has put himself at the center of political life. He’s the number one news for 50 days,” Ghia Nodia, a professor of politics at Georgia’s Ilia State University, said in a message. “He will try to keep his personality centered, this time the issue/slogan will be of the fair independent trial.”
