Football Prediction: Michigan, Oklahoma State Enter the College Rugby Round with Alabama on the outside looking in
Rivals Week is in the books, which means Championship Week is upon us with our penultimate group stage predictions ahead of its announcement on Sunday, December 5. Occasionally, information leaks. ahead and CBS Sports’ group stage predictions page will be up to date as that happens throughout the week.
The big news of the weekend is Jim Harbaugh finally made it! He won the game he was hired to win as Michigan beat Ohio State, 42-27. Werewolves are predicted to take Buckeyes’ previous spot as the 2nd seed in College football Playoff behind No. 1 seed Georgia. The Bulldogs are expected to cement that position with a win over Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
Cincinnati, which ended the regular season with a 35-13 win over East Carolina, is still expected to be in third place. However, there has now been a change in fourth place.
With the State of Oklahoma won the first edition of Bedlam since 2014, it is predicted to end the season as the Big 12 champion with next Saturday’s win over Baylor. The Cowboys previously beat the Bears 24-14 on Oct. 2. That would take Oklahoma State past Alabama’s two-game losing streak for the final spot in the playoffs.

The CFP Selection Committee will give preference to the conference champions if the decision between the two teams is close. Alabama needs four more times to beat Auburn in the Iron Bowl. While anything can happen in a competitive game, especially that one, it’s just further proof that Alabama didn’t. Alabama last. The committee moved Tide down a spot this week in part based on how well it plays. 1 loss to Georgia next week certainly won’t be a bad one, it is expected to cost Alabama a spot in the CFP.
