Football on TV: How to watch, live stream the weekend’s top matches, including MLS Qualifiers, Roma, Dortmund, etc.

This weekend there is a treat of a series of matches. Der Klassiker is taking place in Germany as the first-place team Bayern Munich takes on the second-place team Borussia Dortmund. While Dortmund will disappoint with their performances in Europe, just one point above first place in the tournament means they have everything to play here. The MLS knockouts are also reaching their peak as we’ll know which teams will be in the MLS Cup on Sunday night. After the England game you have the London derby when West Ham take on Chelsea before ending things in Italy because Roma need to come back strong when facing Inter.
5. Portland Timbers vs. Real Salt Lake
Day: Saturday, December 4 | Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
TV: FS1 | Live: fuboTV (try free)
Caesars sports betting odds: Portland -106; Draw +270; Salt Lake +275
Why watch: Real Salt Lake will return to full strength this week as Albert Rusnak’s 11 goals and 7 assists will return to the squad. Since he missed the first two playoff games due to COVID protocol, RSL was able to move on but they will be glad to have their captain back. For Portland, while Dairon Asprilla will miss the game due to suspension but they hope that the match is closer to a 3-1 win over Salt Lake in early November.
4. Philadelphia Union vs. New York City
Day: Sunday, December 5 | Time: 3 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN | Live: fuboTV (try free)
Caesars sports betting odds: Philadelphia +170; Draw +210; New York +180
Why watch: While this match may have missing player for Philadelphia Union due to COVID and Valentin Castellanos will also be absent due to suspension for NYCFC, which is a head-to-head matchup. Union wants to slow things down and control the tempo of the game while NYC wants to speed things up with quick passes and counter-attacks. Add in how familiar these teams are with each other and things can get interesting.
3. West Ham vs. Chelsea
Day: Saturday, December 4 | Time: 7:30 a.m. ET
TV: NBCSN | Live: fuboTV (try free)
Caesars sports betting odds: West Ham +380; Draw +270; Chelsea -135
Why watch: The Derby matches are a time to bounce back but West Ham need to stop the slide soon or risk falling out of the top 4. While their schedule is quite fierce, they responded to their victory over Liverpool with a match. Losing to Wolves and drawing a 10-man Brighton team was not what David Moyes expected. As for Chelsea, they are looking to keep the engine running and prove that they are the most complete team in the Premier League. This is a game worth watching if Chelsea are forced to play at full speed.
2. Roma vs. Inter
Day: Saturday, December 4 | Time: 12:00pm ET
TV: CBS Sports Network | Live: Supreme +
Caesars sports betting odds: Roma +270; Draw +270; Inter -104
Why watch: Serie A is getting hot this season because everyone is already competing. But Roma have lost 3 of the last 5 matches while Inter are achieving results when they won 4 of the last 5 matches and are only 2 points behind the leading team Napoli. Jose Mourinho will need to inspire his side for this game as they risk being left out of the European slots.
1. Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich
Day: Saturday, December 4 | Time: 12:30 p.m. ET
Live: ESPN+
Caesars sports betting odds: Dortmund +320; Draw +320; Bayern -133
Why watch: Facing second in the Bundesliga for the first time will be enough to watch this game. How about adding that is Robert Lewandowski facing Erling Haaland. Still not doing it for you? Well, Gio Reyna is fit and healthy right now too so you have a national team composition here. What I’m saying is this is a can’t-miss match and a clear winner for the weekend’s showdown.
