Football on TV: How to watch and live stream the weekend’s top games, including Washington Spirit vs Chicago Red Stars

The international break is over and as of this week we’re entering the longest straight stretch of the season without a break. From here on, the next break will not last until January 9 for AFCON and the additional World Cup qualifiers. But before I get too far ahead of myself, we’ll have a treat this weekend when the MLS playoffs begin, Washington Spirit taking on the Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL finals on Sunday. CBS And after that Supreme +, Juve and Lazio played an epic match just to name a few. Here are five games you must check out, along with some notable mentions:

5. Washington Spirit vs. Chicago Red Stars

Day: Saturday, November 20 | Time: 12 p.m. ET
TV: CBS | Live: Supreme +

Why watch: Two of the hottest teams to wrap up the NWSL season will meet in the final in Louisville on Saturday. While the Spirts have faced turmoil off the field, they turned that into playoff fuel with Trinity Rodman and Ashley Hatch leading the charge in attack with Kelley O’Hara and Aubrey Bledsoe control a solid defense. Mallory Pugh’s availability is available to the Red Stars, but that doesn’t stop them from making it through to the knockout stages. Add to that the fact that neither team has ever won a championship before, and that’s more than enough incentive.

4. Leicester City vs. Chelsea

Day: Saturday, November 20 | Time: 7:30 a.m. ET
TV: NBCSN | Live: fuboTV (Try free)
Caesars sports betting odds: Leicester +370; Draw +265; Chelsea -129

Why watch: The two teams moving in opposite directions faced off as the Foxes welcomed the tournament leaders to the King Power Stadium. Brendan Rodgers hopes the international break is enough for his side to recover as Leicester have just two wins in their last five games. Chelsea will look to stay in good form and show the draw against Burnley as a bright spot on the road. Come to attack the full-back and stay for the wizard Mason Mount.

3. Lazio vs. Juventus

Day: Saturday, November 20 | Time: 12 p.m. ET
Live: Supreme +
Caesars sports betting odds: Lazio +205; Draw +235; Juventus +135

Why watch: Lazio are one of the most interesting teams in Serie A thanks to their high scoring play combined with a lack of tight defence. Juventus is still a difficult team to score but they are far from the previous Serie A champions. Add Weston McKennie to this match and USMNT fans have more than enough reason to watch. While both teams have a worse record, this is a match that could give one of them a head start on qualifying for the Champions League.

2. Portland Timbers vs Minnesota United

Day: Sunday, November 21 | Time: 5:30 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN | Live: fuboTV (Try free)
Caesars sports betting odds: Portland -103; Draw +270; Minnesota +265

Why watch: The MLS knockouts begin now, and Portland-Minnesota is one of the more exciting games of the first round. There are teams that have entered talks to win the Western Conference, but have been let down by their defensive performances. With their open play, this is the kind of match where the first team to score five goals wins.

1. Inter Milan vs. Naples

Day: Sunday, November 21 | Time: 12 p.m. ET
TV: CBS Sports Network | Live: Supreme +
Caesars sports betting odds: Coalition +123; Draw +240; Napoli +225

Why watch: The league leaders face another challenge on Inter’s trip. Napoli have faced most of the challenges this season as they have had an unbeaten start, scoring just four goals in 12 games. But Inter will be hoping that they can deliver on the fine form that has seen them unbeaten in their last four, becoming the league’s top scorers. Inter also have one more point to prove that there would be no problem defending their title without Antonio Conte, Romelu Lukaku and many others making this a pretty grim game.
