Follow a daring rocket blast over Snake River Canyon in ‘Stuntman’ on Disney+

NEW YORK – He has one of the most dangerous jobs in Hollywood, but he keeps coming back for more! Stuntman Eddie Braun gives you an in-depth look at his life and stunts in the new Disney+ documentary “The Stuntman”.

“I’m trying to do something that no one has had before, including my hero,” Braun said. “But, once I did, I felt very complacent.”

His career began with the love and admiration of legendary stuntman Evel Knievel. The documentary traces his desire to finish what his hero started – crossing the Snake River Canyon with a rocket!

“I was like I could film that, is anyone recording this?” Director Kurt Mattila said. “And he said, ‘Do you want to?’ And I said, ‘Yes, sir, where do I sign?’ “

“I think every boy or every kid wants to be like Evel Knievel,” Braun said. “I think there’s nothing more respectful than fulfilling my heroic dream.”

Braun teams up with Scott Truax, the son of the NASA rocket scientist who built Eve’s original doom rocket, and together they hope to clear the canyon along with the Truax family.

“We only had one chance to capture it,” Matilla said. “Obviously we had to buy as many cameras as possible to bring to Twin Falls, Idaho on launch day.

Although he sometimes says that he has thought about retiring, he admits that he will never be completely out of the game.

“I’m transitioning from doing physical stunts,” Braun said. “We started a production company called ‘Driven Pictures’ and ‘Student’ was our first movie.”

Matilla and Bruan’s production company has a number of well-known backers.

“‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia from 7 Bucks Productions accepted our project,” Braun said.

Braun has performed stunts in the biggest and most popular action series on television, including shows like “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “The Fall Guy”, “CHiPS” and “The A-Team” .”

He’s also worked on feature films, commercials, and music videos for A-list recording artists like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Madonna. His work can be seen in major box office hits like “Argo,” “Transformers,” and “The Avengers.”

You can stream “Stuntman” live on Disney+ starting this Friday, July 23.
