FM Update 22 Patch Notes 22.2 for December 7

FM 22 Update 22.2 brings a lot of bug fixes and improvements to the gameplay, Match Engine, UI and more.

Football manager 22 there hasn’t been a rough launch, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t problems or bugs. The game received a small update in the early days of launch, but today Sports Interactive brings a big update that will fix a lot of problems.

Aside from the improvements, the new update changes some stuff around player registration and signing as well as the player’s job security as head coach.

Stability and engineering:

• Stability and crash fixes
• Optimization improvements
• Fix for Mac crashes when launching games without the correct zoom display settings
• Sound ‘Test’ button fixed in Preferences

Match Engine 21.3.0.0:

• Corners near posts are less effective
• Various fixes in different areas for defensive teams holding possession too well and increasing possession to unrealistic levels
• Fixed unmarked goalkeeper in attacking situations
• Corrections to throw-ins
• Some other improvements to the overall engine balance

Gameplay:

• Adjust the rate of young player development
• Adjusted the attenuation rate of older players
• Modifications to the new generation of employees at the start of the game
• Improved distribution of new substances in dormant countries
• Player knowledge will be maintained for a longer period of time after the player trial ends
• The logic works to prevent players from complaining about the lack of playtime despite starting nearly every game
• The day experience has finally been added to the top division in Norway and Denmark
• Improve loan demand and negotiation
• Improved logical distribution of fancy forms for AI managers
• More realistic job security pressure on newly appointed international managers
• Fixed board issue due to new contract playtime concerns
• News item is no longer wrong to say that players want to join the club because they are a bigger club while they are not a bigger club
• Team registration fixes
• Fixed an issue in Argentina, Romania and Denmark where Club Vision was not recorded correctly
• Manager’s morale no longer displayed incorrectly as depressed
• Positive reactions from an interaction are now always displayed correctly
• Virtual Draft improvements to initial budget options, resume display, and auto-select
• Number of other fixes and improvements

Competition and Rule Groups:

• The number of matches of the Croatian Second Division is correct from 2022/23 onwards
• The fix for Newgens Turkey now appears as an HG player for registration
• Using auto-selection no longer counts as an incorrect China new registration change
• Canadian Team Certificates Added for 2024+ NACL
• Added Canadian team certificates for NAL
• MLS DP and YDP rules are now correctly specified
• Number of other fixes, updated rules and schedule changes in multiple countries/leagues

Art & Animation:

• Fixed many issues with players sliding/teleporting during animations in 3D Match Engine
• Fixed player names not always appearing in 2D Match Engine
• Fixed multi-set conflict issue
• Multiple 3D background environment fixes, including team rooms and kits/badges
• Improve the way to choose hairstyles and eyebrows for newbies

UI/UX:

• Fixed an issue where action buttons on Scout Meeting Inbox items would overlap or be cut off on some solutions
• Fixed an issue where scrolling the Search Player list with the keyboard arrow buttons would cause the highlighted item to reset to the top of the list.
• Fixed an issue where the substitution message did not show the player’s shirt
• Fixed an issue that made player transitions hard to read on some screens
• Fixed an issue in Data Center where analytics pop-ups would close unexpectedly when certain items were highlighted
• Fixed an issue in the Set Piece generator where the guide marker would obscure the player location
• Fixed an issue in Employee Search where the Actual Hire checkbox would sometimes not work
• Fixed an issue where resizing a custom column containing a player’s transfer value could render the value unreadable.
• Fixed an issue where the personal training board would reset to the top of the list after selecting a player
• Fixed an issue where the team stats view on touchline tablets would reset between matches
• Added counter to show remaining entries in scouting update
• Fixed bugs in displaying numeric units in Korean currency
• Opposing jersey icons now appear consistently after substitutions
• Crop on Club Info > Profile now has a scroll bar
• Loan Match report now shows Monthly Fee instead of ‘worth £0’
• Spirit icons are no longer visible to non-players
• Number of other fixes and improvements

Pre-game editor:

• Start date now appears for base rule files created with the Pre-Game Editor
• Unassigned created players now appear in the edited database
• Fixed the ability to add lower trophies and divisions in certain countries
• Number of other editor-specific fixes and improvements
