Florida man arrested with explosives near oath-keeper rally, police say

A Florida man seen fleeing a Oath-Keepers protest was arrested Friday after authorities discovered he was in possession of a homemade explosive.

Garrett Smith, 22, was charged with loitering, making and possessing a destructive device, according to Pinellas . County Sheriff’s Office. As of Friday, he has yet to post a $300,000 bond.

One next Search of Smith’s house had turned on “hand grenades and tube explosives”, although his political affiliations were not immediately clear, nor were there any potential motives.
