Fish die-off in Vancouver’s Lost Lagoon under investigation – BC

The Stanley Park Ecology Society is investigating after numerous lifeless fish have been discovered floating in Lost Lagoon.

Dozens of fish carcasses have been noticed whereas quite a few different fish seem like shifting sluggishly.

The fish are believed to be frequent carp, a species that was launched to the lagoon, positioned in Stanley Park.

The water high quality within the lagoon is being examined but it surely’s thought the die-off might be a results of the weekend’s heavy rainfall, simply when the water within the lagoon is popping over — a pure course of that occurs each fall.

The Vancouver Park Board stated it’s investigating, however there doesn’t seem like a threat to public security.
