Fire extinguished after car bursts into flames in Halifax area: Police – Halifax

Halifax Regional Police said a vehicle “burst into flames” on a busy road in Bedford.

In a release at 12:25pm, police said there was a three-vehicle collision on Dartmouth Road just before noon. One of the vehicles caught fire.

In an update at 1:10 p.m., police said the fire had been extinguished.

The occupants of the three vehicles suffered “non-life-threatening injuries”.

The road was closed in both directions when investigators visited the scene, but has since reopened.

Police say the investigation is still in its infancy.

“It is unknown if any charges will be pending at this time,” the press release said.
