FBI Suspects HBCU Threat May Be Linked to 6 ‘Savvy’ Children: Report

According to NBC News, six people were identified by the FBI as persons of interest on Wednesday in connection with a series of bomb threats against various Black Colleges and Universities in History. The names of the six people were not released because they are believed to be minors.

Citing a senior law enforcement source, NBC News reports that federal authorities describe minors as “savvy” and able to conceal the source of their threats with sophisticated technology. The official told NBC that the sequence of threats may have been racially motivated.

Nearly 20 HBCU is locked and has beefed up its security presence after receiving bomb threats on Tuesday, the first day of Black History Month.
