Justin Goodman is vice president of advocacy and public policy for the White Coat Waste Project, a nonprofit group that recently unveiled NIAID’s despicable experiments on dogs.
Should tax dollars fund animal testing?
Goodman said Epoch Times The WCWP received a document in October through a Freedom of Information Act request showing that NIAID spent $13.5 million on “appalling experiments” on rhesus monkeys.
According to The Times, the monkeys were taken from Morgan Island off Beaufort, South Carolina. Charles River Laboratories leases the island from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. The Department of Health and Human Services and NIAID pay Charles River “to breed and maintain the monkeys.”
The Times reports that there are 3,521 monkeys on Morgan Island in 2020 and that “between 500 and 600 monkeys are transported to [National Institutes of Health] and NIAID laboratories” annually.
Goodman said the NIH spends about $20 billion a year on animal testing. NIAID is a division of the NIH, which is an agency of HHS.
According to the Times.
“In many of these experiments, Fauci and his staff intentionally withheld pain relief, even though these were some of the most horrifying experiments in federal government,” says Goodman.
