Fans Think ‘Parks and Recreation’ Predicted ‘Boba Fett Books’

The Books by Boba Fett premiered yesterday and fans can’t help but compare it to an episode of Parks and Recreation aired in 2013.

Yesterday’s episode of Books by Boba Fett full of flashbacks, including history Star Wars moments like Boba looks at Jango being beheaded. But the most classic Star Wars the moment from the original triad is from Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, where Boba Fett fell into the crater Sarlacc. Fans knew the character was alive when he appeared in Mandolorian, but the opening episode of Books by Boba Fett shows exactly how the bounty hunter survives.

But one Parks and Recreation Fans on Reddit noticed similarities between Boba Fett climbing out of a hole and a monologue performed by Patton Oswalt in Parks and Recreation episode ‘Second thing‘. They seamlessly cut the two shows together and it’s actually pretty consistent.

Patton Oswalt’s monologue in that episode is famous for being an impromptu talk about how Marvel and Star Wars might combine their universes. Here is the full 8 minutes of the monologue.

The Books by Boba Fett received mixed reactions when it debuted yesterday, with some fans comment on how boring and dull it was. However, some critics consider the opening to be set solid foundation, though one lacks ambition.
