A talented gamer used Dreams to create a stunning video of the Archonact, one of the terrifying alien creatures found in the game Returnal.

Fans return to re-enact Archonat in dreams

Released in early 2020, Dreams is a rather unusual game for the PS4. It not only allows players to play games, but also gives them the necessary tools to create their own playable creations. It’s no surprise that talented gamers have used this powerful creative tool to design ever more impressive games and animations. Recently, one person decided to use Dreams to recreate a scary monster from Profit, a roguelike exclusive to PS5 from 2021.

In a tweet from January 19, a gamer named BadRobo82 shared a video of a recent creation they made. Dreams. Using generator software, they recreated an Archonact from Profit, and the results are nothing short of amazing. In the video, the creature hovers several feet above the ground. It had huge tentacles along with some weird orange light emanating from a large rectangular head. After a brief moment, the Archonact let out an unsettling sound as the lights on its face flashed and turned off in succession. After this scary screen, it slowly moves towards the camera before the video ends.

In addition to showing off the Archonact’s design in this clip, BadRobo82 shared some details regarding the creation process. To my surprise, the Archonact from Profit generated using only one controller and a copy of Dreams run on a PS5 adopts backward compatibility. Also, no pre-engineered assets are used to craft the Archonact. According to BadRobo82, everything seen in the video was created by them. Although the creators revealed that they have no experience working with graphics programs, they note that they have a background in traditional art.

It’s no surprise that many fans think this look is very impressive. Since posting the clip on Twitter, many people have commented on the archonact’s intimidating design. In addition, some claim that the rays make the scene look better. Furthermore, others hope that a next-gen update for Dreams will be coming to PS5 in the future, bringing more features for talented artists to take advantage of in their work.

Needless to say, seeing fans designing these impressive creations in Dreams on PS4 and PS5 it’s amazing. However, this Archonact is not the only masterpiece made in software. Recently, another fan recreated T-Rex from Jurassic Park with an impressive amount of detail. As more and more players learn about the power of this creative tool, it will be interesting to see other stunning creations shared with the gaming community in the coming days.
