LEHIS LUGUER’S ARCANE NS VALUABLE ART
Venezuelan artist Lehis Luguer is a true expert on shadows and moods. Combined with the fogs and neon lights of the city, they have really captured Zaun’s corroded atmosphere.
Combining the adult Powder (aka Jinx) with a cloaked Viper, Luguer’s art presents a deadly perfect match. Zaun is a favorite with both hazardous technology and volatile ones (not to mention toxic waste), making it the perfect environment for a chemist like Viper. With her penchant for poison clouds and poisonous acids, it’s no wonder she’s the perfect fit for Arcaneof the universe.
However, just looking at their personalities, the two couldn’t seem to differ more than on the surface. Surprisingly, it was the contrast that made the match work. Jinx’s tough impulses will be balanced with Viper’s calculated damage, creating a pair that can take Zaun by storm.
Even then, jurisprudentially, Viper was still the type of person who didn’t want to stop there for revenge. According to the different lines of voice activated in VALUABLE, Viper did not hesitate to call himself a “monster” or a “villain”. Her cold revenge arc definitely reflects Arcane, as the series follows a similar arc in Powder’s dark transformation into Jinx.
Luguer’s talent for thoughtfully combining lore from both games makes this a crossover I wish Riot would go through. Unfortunately, the current extent of any kind of intersection stops at VALUABLE‘NS Arcane bunch of. For now, fans will continue to hope for an even deeper collaboration.
To see more of Luguer’s amazing art check out Their Instagram or their Art Station website. If not, Arcane season 1 is available to stream on Netflix.
