History may have forgotten this, but diligent MCU fans don’t seem to want to skip the sequence in Iron Man 2 That outstanding billionaire Elon Musk Play yourself in a brief cameo.
In the film, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) runs into Musk, who many online assume is the real-life self of Iron Man. Tony asked Musk how he was doing and complimented him on the SpaceX engines by saying they were awesome. Elon, meanwhile, takes the opportunity to throw an “electric jet” at Tony, to which Tony replies, “We’ll make it work.”
The whole scene is a slick game of folk comparisons between the fictional character and the Tesla CEO, but appearing or not, it confirms that Elon Musk is the best of the bunch. MCU timeline. That, of course, begs the question: What has he been so far?
I mean, to be fair, Elon has overlooked some world-threatening events. He may even have been “blinded” by Thanos, only to resurrect in 2023. A new Reddit thread was actually trying to speculate on what the genius engineer did, and there were a bunch of funny comments to be found between the various answers.
One noted that since he came into contact with Tony, he must be a superhero by now, a clear reference to Ultron and Mysterio.
Another pointed out that because Elon so desperately wants to send people to Mars and launch the Starlink satellite, he must be a Skrull in disguise.
Others also agree that in a world where Tony Stark really exists, Elon must really struggle to keep up with his advanced technology.
Or you know, if Captain Marvel is really an authority in space, now would be the perfect opportunity to ask Elon why on earth he sent a Tesla hovering over the abyss. that endless abyss.
At this point, it seems like Marvel Studios is completely adopting a big go or go home policy regarding the MCU, so Elon Musk’s return for further cameos isn’t entirely far off.
