EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Mike Johnson Calls On Biden To Issue Formal Rule To Provide Local Police Budgets With Money From American Rescue Plan

Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson sent a letter Thursday to President Joe Biden urging him to issue an official rule that would provide the local police budget with money from the U.S. rescue plan.

The Daily Caller first received the letter to Biden, in which the administration filed a formal complaint alleging that some of the $ 350 billion in state and local funding in American rescue plan for what it says is Johnson hurting the local police budget. At the same time, the law leaves the use of this money to its discretion, not how they deem it necessary, but to determine it to law enforcement.

A number of Democrats continued to rehabilitate the police and, as a result, the police departments combating budget cuts. Biden signed a $ 1.9 trillion US bailout plan into law March 11.
