Riot revealed League of Legends: Wild Rift The EMEA Championship (WREC) is the official regional tournament. Schedule

There are three phases in WREC. While the exact schedule has yet to be revealed, Riot has announced the months in which the various phases will take place.

Open Qualifiers

There will be a separate open qualifier in each region and up to 256 teams can register. Teams will compete in a doubles knockout format with each match being the top three.

Winners from each region will advance to the grand finals. The teams placed second to fourth will win a spot in the LCQ.

LCQ

Just like the open qualifiers, the LCQ will be played separately in each region. It will feature 128 teams, who will fight in a Swiss framework for a place in the knockout round.

The LCQ knockout will feature eight teams.

  • Three words from the open qualifiers
  • Three from major third-party tournaments
  • Two words LCQ

The knockout stage will be played in a knockout format with the winner of each region advancing to the grand final.

Final match

The WREC Finals will take place in Barcelona as an offline event. It will feature two teams from each region for a total of six teams. They will compete in the group stage and knockout stage to decide the regional champion.
