Everything We Know About Dimensional Ink’s Marvel MMORPG

Slated as part of a “long-term goal,” Marvel’s unannounced MMORPG has been listed by Dimensional Ink Studios as in development. This not the first time We’ve heard of this Marvel MMORPG – so what do we know about it so far?

For starters, let’s get to the facts. Daybreak Games’ licensing deal with Marvel prior to EG7’s acquisition of the studio’. The unannounced MMORPG is being developed by Dimensional Ink, with a team led by Jack Emmert, who designed City of Heroes and spearheaded the current superhero title, DC Universe Online. The game is in development not to be confused with a fan-made game Marvel Universe Online MMO no affiliation with Marvel, Dimensional Ink or EG7. The game has (at least officially) held the license for over 2 years.

Now that we’ve covered what we really know about Marvel’s upcoming MMORPG, here are the rumors regarding the project. According to some rumors circulating through reddit, Daybreak is working on Unannounced MMORPG since 2017. The game is said to have been scrapped or suspended, however it plans to let players create their own characters, choose their own classes, earn items, and interact with Marvel Characters that bring them to life. Icons like Iron Man and Captain America are depicted in screenshots in reddit thread.

Obviously from the end of the year Investor Report 2020 that EG7 is interested in Marvel IP as a future project. However, in early 2020 we received an anonymous tip that the Marvel MMORPG might still be in development, which dropped right around the time of Dimensional Ink. tease a next generation action MMORPG. If the rumors prove to be true, the rumored development hiatus from 2018, has been extended back to early 2020 and is now part of EG7’s long-term development plans.

We are unable to determine any exact timeframe regarding the upcoming announcement and release schedule of the upcoming Marvel MMORPG. Now that Flerken is out of the bag, we shouldn’t be surprised by the 2022 announcement at one of the major video game events like E3.
