Thomas replied in an interview with Good morning England, in which he says, “She is pretty much haunted in her family, on her mother’s side and on my side. So she really had no one to approach. She will have us if she keeps us. We all make mistakes.”

Samantha, for her part, spoke to Inside version About Her relationship with Meghan after the former actress’ CBS told it all. “Depression is not an excuse to treat people like dishes and throw them away,” she said.

Meghan didn’t spend much time in the CBS interview discussing her relationship with her father or half-sister. In a bonus clip from the discussion, she praised her mother Doria Ragland, saying she “remains silent for the four years that have seen me go through this,” alluding to attacks from the British media, Thomas, Samantha and the public.

The former royal claimed that she was not protected by the palace from these attacks.
