Every new Marvel villain will hit the big screen in 2022

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been on a rampage lately following the success of the Infinity Saga that wrapped up many storylines and characters over the past decade. Now only at the beginning of phase four, the unfolding universe seems to be heading in bigger and bolder directions than ever before. From the TV format’s debut on Disney Plus, explore more of the supporting characters in greater depth (through series like WandaVision, Loki, and Hawk Eye) with the advent of the multiverse and larger cosmic creatures, the MCU not only took its time establishing its heroes, but also brought in some worthy villain additions.

Some fans had begun to speculate that Gargantos might evolve to become Shuma-Gorath, a large interdimensional monster. Although unconfirmed, the Marvel Studios cartoon What if…? The series introduces another large octopus-like cosmic creature battling Captain Carter that many fans believe is Shuma-Gorath, but fans will just have to wait and see if those rumors come to fruition. in May or not.


Aside from an appearance by Gargantos (or Shuma-Gorath), it’s no surprise that now Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch will be in the film (after the events of WandaVision). However, it’s still unclear if she’ll be playing the role of a hero or a villain (or perhaps both). While there are indications that her character could turn into this anti-hero, especially after she was seen researching the Darkhold in her spirit form, the new shot in a scene next post-credits Spider-Man: There’s no way home revealed that Stephen Strange sought her help, which could lead to the two teaming up against an even stronger foe that also has ties to past Marvel content like What if…?.


That’s where the Supreme Doctor Strange (or the evil Doctor Strange) comes in. Also teased in Spider-Man: There’s no way home post-credits scene, an alternate version of Doctor Strange was introduced in episode 4 What if…?, as this alternate version of the character turns evil after countless attempts to use magic to prevent the death of Palmer’s girlfriend. While there’s no word on how he’ll appear in the movie, it’s possible that Doctor Strange Supreme will make lasting effects for the rest of the MCU.

In the comics, Gorr comes from an unnamed planet where water shortages, the risk of starvation, earthquakes, and other hazards are all common. However, Gorr still hoped that the gods would help his people. After losing his parents at a young age as well as his family as an adult, Gorr had to fend for himself, enduring much suffering. This leads Gorr to believe that gods do not exist after his prayers go unanswered. But after witnessing the two gods fight, he became full of anger and rage, now set out on a quest to kill all the gods in the universe after what was taken from him. ta. It remains a mystery how Gorr will be introduced in the film and where he will be in his life.


Transferring his familiarity with the superhero genre to this movie (after playing Batman in Icon of Christopher Nolan The Dark Knight Trio), Bale is sure to take on such a tormented character and produce one of the most memorable performances the MCU ranks out there alongside other villains like Michael B. He seeks to defend his kingdom against any adversary, so seeing two potentially advanced, potential civilizations at odds with each other can be a treat. Black Panther 2 will focus on.
