EVE Online’s CCP Games Talks Changes, Health Of MMO And More In Latest July Update Blog

EVE Online’s developer CCP Games has taken to the game’s blog to talk about the updates and many other things seen in MMOs in the past, namely the reasons and individual updates made to aspects of the game to bring EVE Online into its third decade.

In a post for EVE Online website named July status update, CCP Games addressed concerns and feedback from the player community regarding several updates and changes made to the MMO over the last year or so. Realizing that some paths are often available for developers to further their vision with players as the pandemic has kept the normally scheduled FanFests EVEs from taking place, the developer talks about the steps How has it been done in the past year? meant to preserve and develop the MMO into its third decade.

“Over the past few weeks, we’ve been listening to you, our community, discuss EVE Online’s ecosystem, game changer, direction and overall health. For many, NIGHT It’s not just a game – it’s a hobby – and you want to make sure it’s worth your considerable time and dedication.

Very often these questions are answered at events such as Fanfest and World Tour, where the perspective and vision for EVE Online shared with you, the players, through presentations and casual conversations alike. Unfortunately, this year doesn’t allow for such conversations and to wrap up, here’s a closer look at what went on NIGHT and what’s to come. “

The post details the progress of the change in terms of when developers bring scarcity and risk to NIGHT, most profoundly felt through the redistribution of resources throughout New Eden.

“For EVE to successfully transition into its third decade and beyond, it was clear that work was needed to build on the foundation of its Critical Ecosystem. When the plan was first revealed, the journey reinvented. The main resource distribution throughout the game is through the three stages explained: Shortage, Redistribution, and Dynamic Distribution. The Shortage (or Scarcity) phase is a challenging one. which means tightening and completely changing the institutional knowledge that EVE players used when earning ISK and resources.”

However, CCP Games states that “the best days are now behind us”, saying that Scarcity will “definitely” end in Q4 2021. CCP says that players’ stocks are running low. at “desirable” and the source of income that players rely on is “under control.” Packers should therefore realize that the proliferation of capital ships is now more tightly controlled than a thanks in part to the changes made to the industry during this period in EVE Online’s History.

NS EVE Online The developer claims that players will begin to see additional resources, as well as changes to how resources are “distributed within your sovereign space.”

“Scarcity inevitably ends in Q4 2021 with additional resources as well as the player’s choice of which resources to distribute in your sovereign space. Though detailed information is available. The full details won’t be shared here today, but here’s a quick look at what you can expect to see in this update:

  • Increase the amount of all resources on New Eden
  • Introduction to the moon and compressed air
  • Balance card for all mining ships
  • Additional dedicated storage for gas and ice
  • Industry stat rework includes better choice of resource allocation”

The CCP also goes on to detail the balance changes made to the MMO, particularly some of the more controversial changes like the Quantum Cores update, as well as changes to the cynosural and Moreover. NIGHT Academy is also mentioned, because of the new initiative to help new players stick with NIGHT beyond the first few moments is paramount to ensuring a healthy and strong player base going forward. EVE Online has long had problems with player retention, and so NIGHT The Academy is another step up the ladder to ensure that those who begin their journey in New Eden will continue it for the long haul.
