Evangelion & Tokyo Revengers Win the Yahoo! Japan’s Most Searched Award

Tokyo Revengers defeated the Demon Slayer, who has held the title for the past two years.
The winners of the Yahoo! The Japan Search Awards were recently announced, with some familiar names in attendance.
Tokyo Revergers, Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, and Uma Musume Pretty Derby won awards in the anime, film and game categories. The results are announced as part of the cultural category of the awards.
Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revergers story began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017, amassing a total of 24 volumes collected during its run to date. A 24-episode animated film adaptation produced by Liden Films aired in the spring 2021 anime season, with a live-action film following in the summer. Kodansha USA licenses the manga in English digitally, with Seven Seas distributing the physical prints. The anime was streaming on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan.
Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time to be the last entry in Studio Khara’s Rebuild Evangelion series movie. The film ran into some problems during early development and was subsequently delayed, but was released on March 8 in Japan to generally positive reviews. The film was released internationally on August 13 and is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
Video games ‘ Uma Musume Pretty Derby The multimedia franchise has spawned a series of anime and manga adaptations since 2016. An anime series produced by PA Works and Studio Kai aired from 2018 to 2021, with Crunchyroll simulating it as it is broadcast. ONE mobile games was originally scheduled for release in 2018 but was delayed until February 20221.
Tokyo Revergers knocked down Demon Slayer is the most searched anime series after two years of reign, with the second series coming in third after Jujutsu Kaisen in the 2021 poll. Evangelion beat Rurouni Kenshin: Mamoru Hosoda’s ultimate live-action and sci-fi film, BELLE, came in second and third place. Hosoda is known as a director Summer War, Wolf Children, and the years 2018 Mirai.
Winners are determined based on the number of searches they accumulate in a given category. Results are then compared with previous years with the most improved results receiving the top prize for each group. Results for this year’s awards are based on results from January 1 to November 1.
