Epic’s Wrestling Battle Royale Rumbleverse Delayed Indefinitely

Epic Games and Iron Galaxy announced that the Rumbleverse will no longer launch in February as planned, although it is still in development.

roaring into battle

In December 2021, Iron Galaxy held a closed technical test for the upcoming wrestling themed battle. Rumbleverse. It didn’t blow up the internet, but for a closed-door experiment that drew attention to a game that a handful of people had heard of before, it certainly attracted some interest. However, as battle royale players know, to thrive a battle royale game takes more than light care at launch. Iron galaxy seem to agree, as publisher Epic Games has now confirmed that Rumbleverse has been delayed indefinitely.

VIDEO GAME OF THE DAY

To be clear, RumbleverseIts indefinite delay seems to serve to position it for a stronger launch, rather than potentially causing Royal War. It was previously scheduled for release on February 15th, a day not only in the middle of a very busy month but also Rumbleverse no support given the lack of hype and advertising to date. Iron Galaxy also said that it wanted to “perfect the experience” before launch.

Rumbleverse won’t go away in the meantime, although it doesn’t have a new release date yet. Epic game and Iron Galaxy are planning additional testing for Rumbleverse move forward. The first season will kick off on February 12th and, unfortunately, is PC-only again. It is intended to help Iron Galaxy test its new infrastructure and will only be available for two hours, from 1pm to 3pm EST. Iron Galaxy says this is just the first test before launch, so expect more in the future.

Iron Galaxy also mentioned another important issue in its announcement. Previously it allowed very excited Rumbleverse fans pre-order the DLC’s Early Access Pack which includes a week of early access. Are from Rumbleverse will no longer launch on February 15th, and with no new release date, Epic Games will offer refunds to those who purchased the Early Access Pack. It can then be redeemed once Rumbleverse there is a new release date.

While this may seem an unpleasant and potentially unsettling decision for Rumbleversethe development team seems to be really inspired by the feedback from Testing First Look in early December. The extra time will allow Iron Galaxy to create the full experience it wants to deliver Rumbleverse.

At least, it let’s Rumbleverse escaped early februarythis will come after launch Pokemon Legends Arceus and Dying Light 2 and right before that Forbidden Horizon in the West, Fate 2‘S Witch Queen expansion and Elden Ring. February run away for Rumbleverse chance it will need.

Rumbleverse is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
