Ember Sword brings Rob Pardo, former WoW team leader, and 20 game moderators and influencers to a new round of investment

When it comes Sword Ember, there’s a lot of promise in the development of a Pay-to-Earn (P2E) MMORPG and a new round of consulting and investment shows some significant support for the future of Bright Star Studios gaming.

New investment agreement has been held between the studio and BITKRAFT Ventures and adds 20 more game executives and influencers on the board to support both development on MMO and how to leverage blockchain technology to support P2E ventures.

Some of the people involved with this new deal include Rob Pardo, former Creative Director at Blizzard Entertainment and lead designer at Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft, Dennis “Thresh” Fong, professional gamer and founder of Xfire, Lithium and GGWP, YouTuber Dr. DisRespect and Kevin Lin, co-founder of Twitch. Pardo and Fong will serve as advisors to Team Bright Star.

In a statement announcing the new venture, Pardo noted his enthusiasm for Sword Ember and its rewarding approach. “MMORPG worlds have traditionally remained inaccessible because they require significant downloads, have low engagement times, and are in a closed market, meaning there is no way for players to create real-world value,” he said. The ability of the community to invest and make money has proved an attractive focal point.

Bright Star’s CEO also spoke about the studio’s approach to Sword Ember Generally speaking. “While in Alpha mode, the Ember Sword community had a strong 200,000 people, with a growth rate of 81% this year. In August, 35,000 gamers made a joint pledge more than $203 million come buy virtual land inside Sword Emberof the world,” he said. The statement also highlights the community influence and potential for new entrants to the MMORPG space to invest time, creative effort, and potentially be rewarded in a player-driven economy.
