Elks still winless at home after losing 37-22 to Winnipeg – Edmonton

DeAundre Alford and Adam Bighill recorded defensive touchdowns because the league-leading Winnipeg Blue Bombers fought their well beyond the Edmonton Elks 37-22 Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Blue Bombers (6-1) have received 4 video games in a row whereas the Elks (2-4) have misplaced two straight.

Winnipeg bought off to a blazing begin by scoring on its first drive, going 80 yards in 9 performs, capped off by a 12-yard landing cross from QB Zach Collaros to Darvin Adams.

Collaros went 19 of 24 passing for 252 yards, a TD and an interception.

The Bombers doubled their lead on their subsequent drive as Nic Demski ploughed his method via a number of defenders for a 21-yard dashing main to make it 14-0.

Edmonton bought again into the sport halfway via the second due to a Christian Rector fumble restoration on the Bombers’ nine-yard-line, resulting in a James Wilder Jr. landing run.

Elks rookie quarterback Taylor Cornelius threw for 243 yards, with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
