It’s been a while since Elden Ring has been launched and the game is still trying to top the charts. After receiving generally positive reviews from critics, the game is receiving a standing ovation from fans, although there are a few performance issues that plagued the game’s launch.

If you have played Elden Ring, you may well know that the game introduced a new engine, called Spirit Summons. Basically, this allows you to get some extra help in battle, and it summons the souls of a bunch of enemies you encounter on your journey. Spirits cost FP to summon, and they can only be summoned once per battle.

Currently, this has not been good for some Souls veterans, and they are quite unhappy with players using Spirit Summons to take down bosses. This is something they have expressed since the game was released, but as more and more players complete the game, more people are being punished for using summons in the game.

If you think that’s too much, there’s more to it. In addition to using soul summoning, players are also called upon to use Ashes of War as well as Magic builds. It is known that Magic is quite strong in the game, with spells like Comet Azure which, when combined with the right things, boasts the ability to hit an entire boss in one hit.

The question remains, is using summoning, ashes or magic really unfair? Yes, absolutely not. It’s by no means that any of this isn’t part of the game, and if you’re playing a game as difficult as Elden Ring, you need to make the best use of everything available at your disposal.

Sure, that might frustrate some purists, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s an integral part of the game and this is how it’s played. Whether they like it or not.
