Elden Ring Streamer hits Malenia with a dance floor
elden ringThe Malenia boss fight is an incredibly intense challenge under normal circumstances, but one player successfully defeated her with a Dance Dance Revolution Dance floor. One streamer spent an incredible amount of time beating Malenia and the video clip shows her victory as it happens.
elden ringlike other FromSoftware games, has a reputation for being an extremely difficult game under the best of circumstances. However, Malenia isn’t just any boss, it’s one of the most intense challenges the game has to offer. That makes this achievement particularly impressive.
Twitch streamer MissMikkaa is no stranger elden ring, after already beating the game with a standard controller. However, she wouldn’t stop and tried to beat the Malenia boss fight with a GDR gamepad. According to the comments on the video, this was her 84th attempt at beating the fight and although the clip doesn’t show the entire fight, Malenia finishes it off with grace.
The clip starts when Malenia is at very low health. However, instead of attacking and trying to finish her off, MissMikkaa proceeds strategically and cautiously, retreating to recover from the damage Malenia has inflicted. She narrowly avoids Malenia when she bombards her with her attack from Scarlet Aeonia and audibly complains that she is using it again. Excitement mounts both in the chat and in MissMikkaa herself as she says, “That’s it. Now that’s got to be it,” while noticeably panting from the exertion. After a few more punches and a dodge, she successfully lands the final punch on Malenia and collapses to the ground excited but exhausted.
Viewers on the stream and commentators on Reddit heaped praise on MissMikkaa and were very impressed with the success. Play any action game with a GDR Pad isn’t easy, but persistence paid off here. Many joked about what she might try next to beat the game, pointing out how other streamers and players in games like her have pulled off similarly ridiculous feats Dark Souls and Sekiroby using weird controllers like the Donkey Kong Bongo drums, or even wiring a baguette to act as a game controller.
Others commented on how much they struggled with this particular boss fight using a standard controller and how jealous they were of MissMikkaa’s abilities. The Malenia boss fight is no joke, but it seems that as long as extreme difficulty games exist, players will find ways to make it even harder on themselves just for the challenge and ability to say they did to have.
