Elden Ring continues to break records
In comparison to other FromSoftware titles, the critically-acclaimed Dark Souls 3 has only ever reached an all-time high with over 129,900 players, which is approximately one-seventh of the Elden Ring. According to SteamDB.
That said, the Elden Ring is still on an upward trajectory and could overcome many of those titles given enough time. When the game launched on Steam two weeks ago, it had around 764,000 concurrent players, so it looked like it might overtake its competitors sooner rather than later. According to the digital and physical data provided by GSDThe game had its biggest UK video game debut since Call of Duty: Vanguard and took the top spot in its first week of launch on FIFA 22.
Since launch, players have been trying to conquer The Lands Between, looking for strategies to make the game easier while searching for clues that reveal the lore behind the mysterious world. In GameRevolution’s review of Elden Ring, Senior Editor Jason Faulkner called it “the M-rated, secretive Breath of the Wild” and “one of the best open-world games ever made” create”. Even George RR Martin, who worked mainly on the plot of the Elden Ring’s rich and haunting history, was surprised and excited by the critical acclaim for the game.
In other news, Elden Ring has been under maintenance on all platforms, as developers continue to release patches to fix stability issues and dropped frame rates, especially is on the PC version of the game.
