Elden Ring patch fixes Bleed Dogs and mysterious fake walls

FromSoftware has released a new patch for the hugely successful and challenging open world RPG Elden Ring on Tuesday. You can check out the long list of patch notes at Bandai Namco’s website, but update 1.04 has some key changes: dogs that bleed too heavily are nerfed, and the illusion wall is gone. again.
Test YouTuber Zullie the Witch ran the patch on Tuesday and found that the over-powered Rotten Strays weren’t as tough as previous incarnations. Prior to the update, bleeding dogs had a glitch whereby the game could cause massive damage to your character’s health due to a bug related to their attack animations – a bug makes the Rotten Stray dogs stronger than some bosses. Now, they are fixed. And we don’t mean “fixed”, as in, “take them to the vet” fixed. Zullie the Witch demonstrated the changes in this video.
Zullie also records another important change: the mysterious wall of illusions no longer disappears. In March, players discovered a fake wall in Volcano Manor that disintegrates when you hit it 50 times. At first, players weren’t sure if the developers were using it to hide secrets or if it was just a bug. After patching, the wall does not collapse to reveal another room. So it seems that illusory, but destructible, walls are just a clever way for developers to hide an unwanted room and not a door to great secrets. than.
