Elden Ring Abandoned Cave Location: How to get the Golden Scarab Talisman

One of the best talismans in elden ring is the Gold Scarab, but it’s hidden in the Abandoned Cave, a place that many players won’t even stumble across. Finding the cave is easy enough once players know where to look, but otherwise it’s difficult to spot. Luckily, it’s not too difficult to fight your way through and claim the Gold Scarab.

To get to the Abandoned Cave in Elden Ring, players must travel to Caelid. Before heading out, stock up on Preserving Boluses or memorize the Flame, Cleanse Me incantation, as the cave is riddled with Scarlet Rot. Head west from Fort Faroth toward the gorge that runs through the middle of Caelid. Near the Evergaol, players can look down into the canyon and notice a tree root running across it. This root can be traversed from the west side to a ledge on the east side of the canyon where players will find the opening to the abandoned cave.

Unfortunately, this abandoned cave is a terrible place. It’s full of scarlet and there are multiple ambushes all over the place. The enemies themselves aren’t overly challenging, but it’s easy to get caught out for scarlet with low health. The big challenge here is to stay out of the liquid rot as much as possible. Unlike the Blight Lake, there is enough dry land here to avoid the Scarlet status effect once players clear the first part of the cave.

Finally, players must fight against two Cleanrot Knights. Luckily, players can keep one busy by summoning a Spirit Ash, and they don’t have all that much health. They are also relatively easy to stagger, especially for players using a heavy weapon.

After defeating the Cleanrot Knights, players can claim the Gold Scarab Talisman, which increases the number of Ruins enemies drop on death. Elden Ring Abandoned Cave Location: How to get the Golden Scarab Talisman
