EG starts rebuilding 2022 roster, adding MaLeK as new CS:GO Head Coach

Better late than never, Evil Geniuses (EG) has begun rebuilding the CS:GO roster for the 2022 season by confirming the addition of Damien. “maLeK” Marcel as its new head coach. The former G2 Esports coach is leaving Europe and moving to North America for the first time in his coaching career. He will take on the responsibility of assembling the rest of EG’s CS:GO roster.

The 35-year-old is an experienced coach who has worked with organizations such as Team Envy, 3DMAX and G2 Esports. He will replace Damian “daps” Steele’s six-month tenure with the team has now ended.

EG has been rocked with the arrival of maLeK and is now revealing the roles of the next three players who will be joining the team soon.

Evil Geniuses confirms the addition of maLeK as the new CS:GO head coach

Evil Geniuses was one of the first CS:GO teams to begin making changes after a disastrous streak that ran until 2021. By the end of the competitive season, EG had clearly run out of fuel and even the community was left. raises questions about their participation in the 2021 Stockholm Main PGL.

Right after they dropped out of the Majors, EG announced Peter’s passing “stanislaw” Jarguz, Owen “oBo” Schlatter and Michael “MICHU” Muller. Since then a lot report has surfaced but no concrete action has been taken as of yesterday, 24order December, with maLeK announced as their new CS:GO head coach joining the 2022 season.

Along with this announcement, EG has also revealed the roles for their next three signings on the roster. The organization will be recruiting two shooters and an IGL (In-Game Leader) to complete their CS:GO roster.

At this point, Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip and Timothy “automatic” I’m two active players associated with the move to EG. If the reports come true, Stewie2K will move from Liquid while autimatic will switch back to CS:GO from Valorant, where he currently plays for T1.

There’s still the question of who can join EG as their car caller. Some speculation says it’s possible that Stewie2K can shoulder those responsibilities while the team adds another rifler player.

The North American organization will announce more in the coming weeks, giving details on the formation of the roster. EG’s current lineup is as follows,
