Edmonton FC’s 3-0 win over York United FC gives the team their 2nd win in 3 games – Edmonton

Despite the team’s difficult start to the Canadian Premier League season, Edmonton FC have been seeing more success on the pitch lately.
The Eddies beat York United FC 3-0 at home at Clarke Field on Friday. While the win was only the team’s second win this year, it’s also the Eddies’ second win in their last three games.

While York United FC topped Friday’s game, Edmonton FC dominated with a six-to-one shot on goal.
Edmonton midfielder Bicou Bissainthe opened the scoring when he headed a cross from a corner kick in the 24th minute of the game.
The Eddies’ Mamadi Camara scored the side’s second goal in the 57th minute. He broke away from several York defenders, accepted a pass and scored just in front of the Ontario team’s net.
Gabriel Bitar scored Edmonton FC’s third goal in the 59th minute.
Despite Friday’s win, Edmonton FC remain bottom of the CPL table with two wins, four draws and eight losses this season.
The Eddies’ next game is on Saturday, July 9th when they host Pacific FC at Clarke Field.
