NS Philadelphia Eagles locked another key player from their 2018 draft, signed a contract Avonte Maddox an extension of three years, Team announced on Saturday. Based on ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is valued at $22.5 million and includes $13.3 million guaranteed.
The veteran full-back joins three other members in the Eagles’ 2018 five-player draft who have received an extension from the club: attacking ball Jordan Mailata, end of defense Josh Sweat, and tight ending Dallas Goedert. The 125th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Maddox arrives in Philadelphia after a successful college career at the University of Pittsburgh. In the regular 45 league games of the season with the Eagles, Maddox scored 170 tackles, 3 interceptions, 21 defensive passes and 4 clumsy catches. Through 10 games this season, Maddox has reached the heights of his career with 48 tackles and two clumsy catches. He was also intercepted in the previous Eagles 7th Week loss Raiders.
The Eagles’ defense is currently 14th in NFL in scoring, 13th in passing, 20th in dash speed and 19th in both third relegation and red zone efficiency. The eagle will face a Saints breach on Sunday without the Pro Bowl running again Alvin Kamara, who is absent because of a knee injury.
