EA Origin game removed from Humble Store, Fanatical and more

EA games are no longer available from Modest shop. Anyone who has purchased EA or EA Origin games from the Humble Store has only four days to redeem those keys before they are no longer valid. The good news is that this doesn’t affect any of the games included in the Humble Bundles or Humble Choice.
When will the EA Origin key become invalid?
Those who purchased EA or Origin keys from the Humble Store have until 5pm PDT on March 18 to redeem those keys. After this point, they will become invalid. Players affected by this move should have been contacted by e-mail by the Humble Store to remind them to change their keys by the closing date. Humble will automatically redeem affected keys on Humble accounts linked to EA Origin accounts at 3pm PDT on March 17, but they are still recommending that players attempt to redeem their keys manually as a precaution.
Humbly repeat on support page that “this only affects purchases at the Humble Store and does not affect EA games purchased as part of bundles or modest selections”. The EA game has been removed from the Humble Store “at this time”. No reason has been given for this move but it is believed to be related to EA’s intention to remove EA Origin and move on to a new customer incorporating its EA Play service. Twitter user Wario64 also pointed out that EA games appear to have been removed from other PC stores such as Fanatical, Gamesplanet and GMG.
In other news, a game on Steam was under review after the developer included an anti-mask rant in his patch notes. Domina currently has a “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam. Elsewhere, Microsoft, Gearbox Software and EA are among several game companies that have signed an open letter opposing the Texas anti-conversion bill.
