Travel around the world of Dying Light 2 not easy, and not just because of the obvious dangers. Instead, many players simply felt like they were moving too slowly. Other games include a sprint option, which allows you to run at speed and on command. But does Dying Light 2 have a sprint button? Is there a way to run, or at least move faster?
How to sprint in the dying light 2
There is no button to sprint in Dying Light 2. Instead, the game has a few skills that allow you to dash or move temporarily faster. However, these skills don’t directly increase your base movement speed; they mainly rely on Stamina and Parkour skills.
In other words, if you want to run faster, you’ll need to invest in specific capabilities. By using your Parkour talent, you’ll eventually be able to unlock new abilities through the Skills menu. If you’re looking to get around faster, three special skills will come in handy:
- Darts will increase your movement speed for a short time
- Dash will increase your movement speed as long as you have Stamina
- Afterboost will give a short speed boost after doing specific Parkour moves
Of course, there are other locomotor skills that aren’t tied to running. Far Jump lets you jump further, while Fast Climb helps you climb faster. Sadly, there are only a few that directly increase your movement speed. In addition to the three ways mentioned above, Slide Jump and Bash are two more useful options.
Try all the buttons you like, but you won’t find the button to sprint in Dying Light 2. Your movement speed can only be increased by upgrading your Parkour skill. Thankfully, there are at least a few options to help run at higher speeds. Join the Parkour trench and invest in mobility first; you may worry about safe escape after you are actually able to escape.
