Dying Light 2 Saves: How to save the game

Make enough progress in Dying Light 2 and you might start getting ants. Not because of constant danger, but because of that common subconscious urge to save your game. After all, if you die now, you can lose weapons, items or overall progress, right? So the question is obvious: How do you save your game in Dying Light 2?

There is no manual save game functionality in Dying Light 2. Instead, the game uses an autosave system that automatically backs up your current progress. If needed, you can force the game to save your progress by moving quickly or sleeping in bed.

Before starting the mission, you will most likely save through normal activity or by sleeping. Of course, sleeping is also a way to pass game time. By going to bed at night, you’ll save your progress and wake up in the morning. If you sleep during the day, you will wake up at night.

Of course, you will eventually reach a point where your expeditions will grow in size. This is the point where you will unlock fast travel. Then, whenever you use the Metro Station to move around the map, your game will be saved automatically.

In other words, the save system works like any other modern triple-A release. The autosave system in Dying Light 2 backs up your progress at specific points in the process. If you die, you won’t have to worry about losing too much progress. And if you just want to make sure your progress isn’t lost, there’s no harm in forcing yourself to save by sleeping or fast travel.
