It looks like Dwayne Johnson will collaborate with Vin Diesel in Fast and furious as before.
Although the relationship between Johnson and Diesel appears to have been put to bed, Diesel made a comment in June that appeared to have rubbed the former WWE star the wrong way. Diesel said he used “tough love” to draw better performances from Johnson, though the DJ seemed to disagree with this assessment.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter while promoting his upcoming movie Jungle Cruise, Johnson indicated that he will not be back in the last two games Fast and furious movie.
“I laughed so hard [at Diesel’s comments about “tough love]. I think people laughed at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I wished them well. I wish them well Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of Fast and furious the movies they make will not have me. “
The tension between Diesel and Johnson seemed to grow tense on set Fast 8. The two stars have spoken to each other online about each other’s alleged lack of professionalism, although neither has decided to name them in their social media posts. Johnson said he got so angry at the “candy donkeys” on set that sometimes he didn’t need to act like he was angry because he was legitimate.

Everything seems to have been dead for a while and may be heading for a reunion in the future Fast and furious but then Diesel said in a recent interview that he was Johnson purposefully angry for the sake of the show.
“As a producer, having to say, ‘Okay, we’re going to cast Dwayne Johnson, who’s associated with wrestling, and we’re going to force this cinematic world, the audience, to see his character as a character. who they don’t know, Hobbs hits you like a ton of bricks. That’s what I’m proud of, that aesthetic. That takes a lot of work. We have to get there and sometimes, at that point, I can give a lot of hard love. Not Fellinisque, but I’ll do whatever I have to to get a performance in whatever I’m producing.”
Now, it seems almost certain that Johnson’s Hobbs character won’t be returning Fast and will instead continue with his spin-off with Jason Statham, Hobbs & Shaw.
Ninth Fast and furious The film, released in June 2021, has grossed nearly $600 million at the box office.
