Driver in serious condition after crash in Brampton – Toronto

Peel Area Police said a male driver was seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision northeast of Brampton.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 50 and Countryside Road around 1:10 a.m. Friday to reports of a collision.

Police said a driver was taken to the trauma center in serious condition.

The other driver remains at the scene and no charges have been filed, police said.

Freeway 50 is closed in both directions from Mayfield Road and Countryside Drive.
