Driver Dies In Early Morning San Jose Hit-And-Run Crash – CBS San Francisco

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A man has been killed and a suspect in a crash early Saturday morning at a San Jose intersection, authorities said.
San Jose police said officers responded to a call at 2:32 a.m. in a traffic accident in the McKee Road area and 33rd Street.

Investigators said a black 2015 Infinity sedan was traveling north at high speed and included a red light on McKee Road. Infinity hit a 2007 Honda black sedan that was heading east on McKee Road.
The driver of the elderly Honda man was removed from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. The Infinity driver fled the scene on foot and was released.

It was the 29th fatal crash and the 30th fatal crash in San Jose this year.
The identity of the victim will be published by the Santa Clara County Office of Santa Clara after confirming the identity of the victim and notifying relatives.
