Drake’s Alma Mater ‘Degrassi’ Will Return In HBO Max Revival

Degrassi “Going there” again in a whole new series.

The Canadian Teen Drama Motivated a 15-Year-Old Boy Aubrey Graham’s (A.K.A. drake) entertainment career will be on the air again. Degrassi is expected to return on HBO Max in 2023. Warner Kids & Media currently owns the US rights to the show, along with 14 seasons of the show. Degrassi: The Next Generation.

WildBrain Media Company owns the rights to the entire franchise and will produce the show. Eric Ellenbogen, a company executive, said:

“WildBrain continues to artistically capture high school life in an engaging format that can be seamlessly experienced on HBO Max,”

He continued:

“I am delighted that our first commission from HBO Max is for Degrassi, a truly respectable franchise with a dedicated and passionate audience,”

He added:

“This is another evergreen asset from our vast IP library that we are revitalizing with a new vision and innovative preemptive approach.”

Like prepaid installments, upcoming installments Degrassi will follow a new group of children as they navigate the halls of Degrassi Community School during the hour-long session.

Original Degrassi debuted as The Children of Degrassi . Street in 1980. Seven years later, Degrassi . Middle School and Tall Degrassi arrived in the United States, broadcast on the PBS network.

In 2001, the franchise was revived with the title Degrassi: The Next Generation. It aired on Canada’s CTV and The N (Noggin’s teen block) in the United States. The series dominated the ratings, covering topics such as teen pregnancy, sexual assault, mental illness, sexual orientation, domestic violence, and school shootings.

One of the most notable episodes was “Accident Will Happen,” a two-part show about an 8th grader who becomes pregnant and then aborts her unborn child. The episode was so controversial that it was not broadcast in the United States.

drake got his first big break as a member of the original Next generation cast. He plays the main character Jimmy Brooks, a bright basketball player who becomes the victim of a school shooting, leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. drake played the character until 2008, when his musical career began to take off.

It is unclear if any of the actors will reprise their roles.
