Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 crashes GTA 6

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the action role-playing game inspired by the legendary manga by Akira Toriyama, has become a phenomenon. Since its launch in late 2016, the game has steadily sold copies across all platforms, and although it rarely tops the sales charts, it hasn’t slowed down; over eight million copies sold worldwide. Any other game would probably have a guaranteed sequel, but given the structure of Xenoversecontent and DLC’s, this poses a challenge for Bandai Namco similar to what Rockstar faced car theft 5.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the player gets to live in a fantasy unlike any other DBZ game. Instead of controlling Goku, his friends and enemies, they can create their original characters as time warriors of different species and have them fight alongside the main characters. The battle plays out like a modernized version of Budokai Tenkaichi and like those series, it features a large amount of playable characters throughout the series.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launched about half the life of Super Dragon Ball but since then the manga has continued with new stories. There’s even a movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and another movie due out in 2022. This means new transformations, attacks, characters, and powers from the end of the series aren’t included. Characters like the rebooted Zamasu, Kale, Caulifla, Jiren, or Broly are all unplayable despite fans growing fond of them.

In the past, when the same thing happened, players could be sure that they would get a sequel with more content from the latter in the series. For example, some games only mention Cell saga or are omitted Dragon Ball GT because when they appear, but the characters then appear in future iterations. The most classic Dragon ball The game was released as a trilogy, each with more characters than the previous one. While Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 itself a sequel, there is no similar need for another game as Bandai Namco can add the characters as DLC instead. That’s exactly what it has done with 12 packs so far, have been waiting Xenoverse 3 longer than fans are used to.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has the same position as GTA 6

When everything stands still, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 stay in a camp similar to Rockstar’s car theft 5. These titles have all become so big and popular that backing them makes more sense for the creator, taking advantage of the user base loves the game and buys their DLC and microtransactions. Although fans may want a Xenoverse 3, Bandai Namco is in a position with no real reason to rush into development.

One last Grand Theft Auto 6 or Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 would be great news for fans of either movie, but presents a financial risk to Rockstar and Bandai Namco. car theft 5 is one of the best selling games of all time and is one of the most played and downloaded games every year. Loss of access to playing fans GTA Online every day should tempt Rockstar to slow things down.

Situation with eight million players still like Xenoverse 2 is similar. Bandai Namco will have to sell a new game again and build that user base back up, when it can go on to add DLC characters instead. The question will be What can Bandai Namco add in terms of gameplay or story that justifies an unnecessary risk. If anything, a potential sequel has to be something only the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can deliver.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Currently available for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
