“There were a couple of things that happened on the show where people were wondering if the NFL had any say. One of them was uh I was kneeling behind you at the time. And then the other person is Kendrick – uh he didn’t, either he didn’t say it or it was censored, we can’t tell from watching it on TV – but there was a line where he said ‘we hate popo’ and he didn’t say popo or at least we didn’t hear it. Did the NFL weigh in on any of those? “

Dr. Dre answer:

“There were a few things that we had to change but it was like really small things. Um – Em take the knee he’s doing it on his own and there’s no problem with that. “

Dr. Dre answer:

“Let me tell you that everyone is extremely excited. You know Mary came back here to the house last night and we went down to the studio downstairs and she was playing samples for me and we just enlisted ’cause um you know we’re talking about working together on her next project. “

He laughed and continued:

“I wasn’t even sure if I should say this so I’m sorry Mary but you know I’m excited about it. We’re talking about working on her next project and we’re downstairs, full of happy men just listening to samples and music and you know playing around like that. ”
