Don’t expect Dragon Age 4 at The Game Awards
BioWare released a new post to celebrate Dragon Age Day, hinting that the upcoming Dragon Age 4 won’t be at the Game Awards on December 9.
One of the most exciting announcements at The Game Awards 2018 was the reveal that Dragon Age 4 under active development at BioWare. Since BioWare uses Game Awards to reveal Dragon Age 4 and continue to introduce the new one Block effect game at the event a few years later, some fans were hoping to get an update on the game at next week’s Game Awards show. However, Dragon age Fans should keep their expectations in check.
December 4th is considered Dragon age Day, and so BioWare has released a new statement for its fans. In its statement, BioWare warrants that Dragon age fans that the studio is still actively working on Dragon Age 4, reiterating that this will be a single-player-focused experience. BioWare added that they will have more to share with fans about Dragon Age 4, but fans will have to wait until next year for a new update to the game.
Unless BioWare is trying to attract its fans, this is pretty much the rule Dragon Age 4 to appear at Game Awards 2021 on December 9. Of course, there’s always the possibility that BioWare misleads fans as to when they’ll find out about Dragon Age 4 next let them be surprised if it’s at The Game Awards, but again, it would be better for fans to keep their expectations and go in assuming the game won’t be there.
It is likely that BioWare will still be at The Game Awards 2021, although this seems unlikely. BioWare has had no new games released in the past year, and so it doesn’t have any games nominated for any awards. And since New Dragon age will come well before the next Block effect game, it seems unlikely that the latter will be featured at The Game Awards 2021. But anything could happen, and so fans won’t know for sure one way or another except as they watched The Game Awards on December 9.
As of now, very few people know about Dragon Age 4 in a formal capacity. BioWare released Dragon Age 4 concept art and very brief trailers hint at what fans can expect, but nothing has been stated at this point and no substantial trailers have been released for the game.
Rumors indicate that Dragon Age 4 release date will probably take place at some point in 2023, and so one has to imagine that the marketing push for the game will start to pick up next year. BioWare’s post says the team will have a lot to share about Dragon Age 4 in 2022, so fans should at least expect that.
