Country music fans hope to catch Maddie & Tae on the street in CMT Next Women of Country Tour: All Song no Static, as well as the date of the group’s solo promotions, were hit by an unexpected change of plans when the duo revealed Monday that they would be postponing their tour.

The couple took to social media to share the news. Taylor Kerr’s doctor placed her in bed as a precaution during her pregnancy, the team said on Instagram page.

Maddie & Tae will title the CMT Next Women of Country Tour from January 6 to mid-February. They emphasized in the Instagram post that “Tae and her baby are doing great,” but Kerr’s temporary bed-keeping will put their tour plans on hold.

The singers said they will reschedule as soon as possible.

Kerr revealed her pregnancy in late November, expecting the baby to be born this spring. This will be Kerr’s first child with husband Josh Kerr, a popular singer-songwriter in Nashville. The couple got married in February.

The duo are both about to release their latest project called Through The Madness Vol. first on January 28. The collection includes their current single “Woman You Got” and a song released in October called “Madness”.

The new collection also features singers Lori McKenna and Morgane Stapleton (Chris Stapleton’s wife) on the song “Don’t Make Her Look Dumb.”

When the tour was first announced, CMT said they were happy to have the famous duo on the show headlines.

“We’re so excited that CMT’s Next Women of Country tour is back on the road and announcing our favorite dynamic duo Maddie & Tae as celebrities!” Leslie Fram, SVP of Music & Talent at CMT. “I have enjoyed the opportunity to watch their careers flourish since we first welcomed them to our program in 2015.”

The pair moved to Nashville after they graduated from high school in 2014, and they are now one of the few female artists to make waves in the traditionally male-dominated genre. They were recently nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year for the eighth time in a row from CMT.

“To hear our names called out among other artists that we love and are obsessed with is really cool.” Maddie Font tells Hollywoodlife. “We also wanted to represent women in the country with the duo category because it’s very rare to see all-female groups these days, unfortunately.”
