During a recent broadcast, streamer Dr Dispect talked about his success at YouTube and stated that he has helped bring more creators to the platform.
Dr. Dispect and his loyal followers have been on a journey over the past few years. It all started in early 2020 when Doc signed a multi-million dollar contract with Twitch. However, things took a strange turn just a few months later, when the platform permanently banned the streamer for unknown reasons, forcing him and his subscribers to find a new home. Due to this ban, Docs started streaming on rival platforms YouTube in August 2020. Since then, he hasn’t looked back.
Recently, Dr. Dispect has made some impressive statements about his success at YouTube. During a live event on December 6, he talked about the growth of his channel on the platform. After thanking several Champions Club members for renewing their subscriptions, the streamer spoke about the importance of his followers. Addressing support, he said, “it doesn’t just fly with black steel, aka bulletproof mullet, into some unknown dimension.” He admits that fans have helped him get his place on YouTube. However, Doc doesn’t stop there.
Not one to shy away from controversy, Dr. Dispect has gone from humbly thanking his supporters to not humbly claiming that he has helped YouTube grow as a streaming platform. According to Doc, his switch to YouTube helped open up the flood spots witnessed famous names like TimTheTatman, Dr. Lupo, and Ludwig moved into the company. Dr. Disosystem claims that these top Twitch streamers move in large part because of him. “People turn to YouTube for Two Times. And thought I was doing it for free,” he said.
In addition to these comments, Dr Dispect went further. He brought Fwiz, head of gaming at YouTube, into the discussion. According to Dr. Dispect, he is very important to the rise of gaming on YouTube than Fwiz and the people who work on his team.
These are not the only bold statements made by streamers. Recently, the disrespectful Dr said in a broadcast that he was sever ties with Esports Awards. The news comes after the event’s decision to comply with Twitch’s guidelines on banned streamers. As a result, the show censored Doc’s face and sound from the nomination video for Streamer of the Year. This is in contrast to prominent segments of the other candidates that have withheld footage of them streaming.
Over the past few months, it seems like the streaming landscape is always changing. Despite this unpredictability, one thing seems clear; Invincible Doctor will continue to be the center of attention. It will be interesting to see how things develop in the coming months and if the Docs document more. streamers likely to switch from Twitch to YouTube.
