Disrespectful Dr. will no longer participate in eSports awards
While the Esports Awards Ceremony may be over, Dr. Dispect recently spoke out about the event, revealing that he wants nothing to do with it in the future.
NS Electronic Sports The awards, which took place a few weeks ago, recognize many influential individuals in the competitive gaming industry. While the event has multiple categories to celebrate all types of roles in eSports, perhaps one of the most popular involves Streamer of the Year. Among the nominees for the 2021 award are YouTube star, Dr. is not respectful.
As one of the most loved names on YouTube, it’s no wonder that Dr Disosystem is nominated for this award. Streamers regularly rack up tens of thousands of views while playing a lot of first-person shooters, such as Call of Duty: Warzone and Halo Infinite. However, despite his impressive following and forgettable appearances, he still failed to win Streamer of the Year award. While that may not seem like a big deal considering the impressive list of talented streamers nominated for the award, recent comments from Doc suggest otherwise.
During a recent live stream, Dr. Dispect discussed his displeasure with the event. The topic arose after a viewer asked him if he received it Electronic Sports Prize. Even behind his red tint, it was clear that the subject annoyed him. This question made the streamer nervous about the show, not overly implying that he didn’t want to participate in future events. “Don’t involve me in anything!” he say. He went on to say how the event only damaged his credibility.
Dispect’s displeasure with the Esports Awards was not simply the failure to win Streamer of the Year. The controversy regarding the event stems from Twitch’s regulations regarding the live stream for the show. Streamers have brought up two incidents in the past related to the event. According to Doc, the show kicked him out in 2020 due to his ban from Twitch. And while he’s nominated for 2021, the nomination video for Streamer of the Year has his voice muted and his face removed. This is in stark contrast to the rest of the contenders’ segments that have maintained their sound and let them stream.
The problems surrounding the Esports Awards originated last year when Dr Disainst still on Twitch. After recently inking a multi-million dollar deal with the streaming platform, the company just a few months later banned streamers. As a result, content creators on Twitch have been banned from displaying Materials on the stream.
It will be interesting to see if these comments from Dr Disosystem have an effect on fan reception of the future event. Regardless, it seems like a safe bet to assume that the Document will not appear in the Esports Awards Ceremony Future.
