Gameloft’s newest game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, is set to hit Early Access, and here’s what you should know about release and preload times.
Gameloft announced earlier this year Disney Dreamlight Valley, a life simulation game where players can befriend their favorite Disney characters (villains or otherwise). Early Access was confirmed a few months after the game’s announcement, and pre-orders for the Founder’s Edition went live shortly after for Nintendo Switch, Xbox, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store.
Players hoping to pre-order on Playstation or Steam are out of luck, there Disney Dreamlight Valley cannot be purchased on these platforms until Early Access goes live. With that in mind, here’s what interested players need to know Disney’s Dreamlight Valley’s start time.
When is Disney Dreamlight Valley coming out?
Disney Dreamlight Valley opens its doors to players on September 6 at 9:00 AM EST (6:00 AM PST, 1:00 PM UTC, 3:00 PM CEST and 11:00 PM AEST). For the Microsoft Store, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, players can now preload the game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Players interested in playing the game on Steam, Epic Games Store or Playstation will not be able to preload the game until Early Access begins as unfortunately the game is not available for pre-order on these platforms.
How much space does Disney Dreamlight Valley need?
Player worried about how much disk space Disney Dreamlight Valley will eat up don’t need to worry. While Steam says the game requires 10GB of storage, upon installation the game only comes up with 7.53GB. That’s obviously nothing compared to some games coming out these days that have file sizes of 80 to 100+ GB. However, players should keep in mind that the file size is expected to increase as the game receives updates in the future.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Players who have downloaded and played around with the free avatar design tool will be pleased to know that it will be possible to import their avatar into the game when Early Access goes live.
To clear up any possible confusion on this matter, Gameloft has released a message detailing how players can import their avatar and when Disney Dreamlight Valley officially begins Early Access. Players on PlayStation will not be able to import their avatar until the first update goes live in Fall 2022. It makes sense that Gameloft would make this a feature since players customizing their avatar and their own homes are huge parts of the game.
How long does Early Access last?
This is what Gameloft announced Disney Dreamlight Valley will be officially released sometime in 2023 and will be free to play. While there’s no official date yet, it would be a safe bet for players to see a full release announcement in the second half of 2023 so the community can give Gameloft meaningful feedback for the game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Slated to hit Early Access on September 6th and available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
