Explore + announced on Friday that it has a green light Johnny vs Amber, a two-part documentary that “tells the story of the breakup” of a famous couple Johnny Depp and Amber Heardrelationship of and “how it leans towards celebrity lawsuits of the decade.”
Produced by studio Optomen, the streaming platform says the project will tell “this international cover story from two polarizing perspectives”. While Amber’s film explores how she marries the man of her dreams only to watch him transform into a violent monster using drugs.”
Based on The Hollywood Reporter, the feature will include interviews with the attorneys involved on both sides and those “close to the couple,” as well as footage and audio recordings shot by the stars themselves.
Heard filed for divorce from Depp in 2016. The media went wild with the news, when British newspaper The Sun labeled Depp a “wife beater”. He sued for defamation.
